Windbeam

From Tolkien Gateway

Windbeam was the name of the Horn of Elendil, according to one of the outlines of The Lord of the Rings as published in The Treason of Isengard.[1]

It is said that it was only blown in extreme situations. It was heard even by Frodo while climbing Mount Doom.[1]

Other than this outline, the horn is not mentioned in any other writing on Middle-earth. It was, however, mentioned in the Letters from Father Christmas, where it is called the Great Horn - and that he (Father Christmas) has not had to blow it for over four hundred years.[2]
