History[edit | edit source]

My Early Tolkien Life[edit | edit source]

I've always know who Tolkien was. My dad always mentioned him as one of his Top 3 authors (Chesterton, Lewis, Tolkien respectively) so I always thought well of him but since his book so super big and long and at the age of 6 I wanted to read simpler book so when I say the Narnia: The Lion the witch and the wardrobe a few years after it came out (I was 9) I loved it and wanted to read the books I eventually read them all in 5th grade and those book became my favorite books of all time. But I still remembered Chesterton and Tolkien my dads next favorite authors in hopes that I could read them one day.

Of 6th Grade and The Hobbit[edit | edit source]

In 6th grade I was so excited when in the open house my Reading Teacher said the class book was the Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien so I read it with the Class (being the only one that liked it sucked though) and LOVED it. I also watched the Hobbit Movies and being a kid liking adventures I liked the movies and although many people hate it I liked them since they movies kinda got me into the Legendarium. So criticize me all you want I don't care. The next step for me was to watch the LOTR movies which I did over summer vacation.

Of 7th Grade and my plans for 8th[edit | edit source]

In 7th grade my reading/ELA teacher didn't like Tolkien so again I'm on my own. I thought it would be nice to read the LOTR in 7th grade so the 1st quarter I read a book my mom wanted me to read and then in the 2nd-4th quarter I read the Three Books. During the intense reading I used and audio book on you tube with sounds in the background to transport me into the book. And now we come to 8th grade as of now I'm in 7th so these are my plans for 8th. In the 1st quarter I would read the Silmarillion although I'm already halfway done cause I read it in bed during summer. In the 2nd I would read the Children of Hurin book (I really hope I like it) 3rd quarter I would read Beren and Luthien (Again I hope I like it) and for Christmas I hope I get the Fall of Gondolin witch I will need to read in the fourth quarter and then I would Read the Unfinished Tales for summer and Every birthday or christmas I would ask for a History of Middle Earth book and then I would probably finish reading those by (*pushes up glasses* If my calculations are correct) 12th grade so plenty of Tolkien to read. I'm also gonna try to read LOTR every year. Thank you for reading have a good day.

Other Tolkien stuff[edit | edit source]

I always liked Family Tree so I always wanted to see a full Tolkien Legendarium family tree not just House of Beor or Hador, Haleth, Finwe ect. So believe it or not I took around 5 whole weeks to make a full scale Legendarium Family Tree starting at Earendil and expanding from there to all the different houses.

Favorites[edit | edit source]

  1. Character: Sam (Followed by Beren).
  2. Book: The Return of The King.
  3. Chapter: The Steward and the King.
    1. Specificly the part in the House of Healing.
  4. Book Series: The Great Tales
    1. The Children of Hurin
    2. Beren and Luthien
    3. Tuor and the fall of Gondolin).

My Head Canon[edit | edit source]

  1. Dagor Dagorath: I believe this is meant to happen and that Turin kills Morgoth.
  2. Elentir: The brother of Amandil is not mentioned in the Silmarillion at all, but I like to believe that he and Miriel loved each other (The way Tolkien intended it to be.) but now I stray of from the written stuff. I think that Ar-Pharazon forced Miriel to marry him, but Miriel still loved Elentir, I also think Elentir was one of the three faithful servants of Amandil that sailed to the west with him.
