Third Age 2941 (abbreviated to T.A. 2941) is the 2941st year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2941 was also known as S.R. 1341 in Shire-reckoning.

- 6: Bilbo Baggins is out for Yestare; Gandalf visits Bag End, talks with Holman Greenhand and realises Bilbo is the right person for the Quest.[2]
- Thorin and Gandalf visit Bilbo in the Shire.[3][4]
- The next day Thorin and Company depart for the Green Dragon. Bilbo catches up at 11 a.m. Quest for Erebor begins.[5]
Spring-Summer
- Bilbo meets Gollum and finds the One Ring.[3]
- The White Council meets.[3]
- Saruman agrees to an Attack on Dol Guldur, since he now wishes to prevent Sauron from searching the Anduin.[3]
- Sauron having made his plans abandons Dol Guldur.[3]
September
- Bilbo and Thorin and Company escape the Elvenking's Halls on barrels.
- 22: Bilbo's birthday; that day he arrives in Lake-town.
