Third Age 2683 (abbreviated to T.A. 2683) is the 2683rd year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2683 was also known as S.R. 1083 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Isengrim Took II becomes the tenth Thain (of the Took line[1]) and begins the excavation of Great Smials.[2]
