Third Age 1973 (abbreviated to T.A. 1973) is the 1973rd year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 1973 was also known as S.R. 373 in Shire-reckoning.

- King Arvedui of Arthedain sends word to King Eärnil II of Gondor that they are struggling against the threat of Angmar. Eärnil sends a fleet north carrying his son Eärnur with an army.[1]
