Third Age 1636 (abbreviated to T.A. 1636) is the 1636th year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 1636 was also known as S.R. 36 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- The Great Plague devastates Gondor.[1]
- Death of King Telemnar and his children.[1]
- Tarondor, the nephew of Telemnar, becomes the twenty-seventh King of Gondor.[2]
