Template talk:References

I've tried to put in a disclaimer saying "don't edit this", but apparently, it didn't work (or Boromirthegreat didn't read it).

So, there's two options to stop the (innocent) "vandalization" of this page:

  1. remove the section header from the template. That way, people who click the edit button stay on the same page where they were.
  2. Lock this page.

Any thoughts? -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 09:02, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'd say lock the page, and change the notice to something like "This page has been locked, please use the talk page to request changes".-- KingAragorn  talk  contribs  edits  email  11:49, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The <noinclude> needs to be place immediately after the </includeonly> in the template. Placing it one line below causes the template to make a <br> when it is used in an article that the editor may not want. --Pinkkeith 18:58, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yeah, can someone with access fix this please? Something like this:
==References==
<small><references /></small><noinclude>
[[Category:Citation templates]]</noinclude>
