Merge: Leeds & University of Leeds[edit source]

Anyone think this should be moved to University of Leeds, the official name? And written a bit more neutral? -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 22:07, 24 December 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yes, I do. ~ Earendilyon 09:03, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Does anyone agree with me that, should there be one, an image featuring Tolkien or at least an image of the University from the early 1920's should replace the current one? -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 20:46, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I agree (although it's hard to change when we can't upload images - have you heard anything from Hyarion?). --Morgan 20:50, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
This is apparently 'Tolkien in Leeds' (there's no more info with the photo though, so we can't be sure). Another possibility might be more relevant buildings; here's one of the houses he lived in (the only one still standing and the only one I could find an old photo of), or the School of English where he world (it's very possible they've moved since the 1920s though). I can quite easily take photographs of anything still standing myself; but as I said in another talk page I'm not aware of any Tolkien-related 'landmarks' in the city. Best bet is probably the first picture, if it can be verified as actually being in Leeds. —Aulë the Smith (Tk·Cb) 21:41, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
