This article was listed as one of the "Incomplete Articles" on the "To-do" page. I've spent some time revising and rewriting this article, using the chapter in The Silmarillion as the source for all of my changes, but there is definitely some tidying up to do. I'm new here and these are my first changes, so please be gentle! Also, it might be worth changing this from an incomplete article to one of the "Articles requiring cleanup". I feel that given the quality of your work and that many less detailed pages within The Silmarillion Chapters category have no 'Incomplete' or 'cleanup' tags you would be well within your rights to delete the current tag and consider this page as finished (for now).
