A citation needed for "Beren ... was named after Beren, his maternal grandfather." I can't find this in the Silmarillion chapter Of Beren and LĂșthien. If anyone can help with this that would be great! --GondolinFan 17:45, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
- Citation found and added. --GondolinFan 19:55, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
- After reading the article through, I agree. I've done what I can with sources and have added the sources tag again. --GondolinFan 00:01, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
Lord of Tol Galen[edit source]
In the sequence at the bottom we have that Dior was Lord of Tol Galen as King of Doriath. Is there a reference for this? --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 09:16, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- Also, is the title of "Lord of Tol Galen" attested as such? Ar-Zigur, I asked you to avoid creating new titles. --LorenzoCB 20:59, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
Same content (verbatim) as a different website[edit source]
Also, the "Aftermath" section is exactly the same as the "Later History" section at http://aminoapps.com/c/lotr/page/item/beren/QMfY_IJkojd3pvQrQx27nvlKZ52BGw. Is this a problem? --GondolinFan 00:01, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- It appears that someone there has copied Gateway content, rather than the other way round. Their website is relatively recent, whilst the "Aftermath" section on here is largely unchanged over a much longer time period.
- Perhaps an admin needs to contact this LotR wiki on the potential plagiarism. JR Snow 10:26, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- There are so many places that TG... I think it is a good sign, as it shows people checks and trusts the wiki. Be free to contact and expose the thefts, I'm not doing it. --LorenzoCB 20:59, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
