The Sack of Doriath was the second kinslaying, occuring when the Sons of Fëanor attacked Doriath, seeking the Silmaril taken there by Beren and Lúthien. King Dior of Doriath was slain there, as well as Celegorm, Curufin, and Caranthir. But the children of Dior, Elwing, Eluréd, and Elurín, escaped down to the Mouths of Sirion.
