Second Age 882 (abbreviated to S.A. 882) is the 882nd year of the Sun of the Second Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- Aldarion returns to Númenor after a five-year voyage aboard his ship Hirilondë.[1]
- Aldarion and Erendis become separated.[1]
- Tar-Meneldur reads a letter from Gil-galad warning him of a new shadow arising in the East, a servant of Morgoth. The king resolves to give the Sceptre to his son in the following year.[2]
