Monolith Productions is an American video game developer, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (itself a subsidiary of Warner Bros.) In 2012 Monolith released Guardians of Middle-earth, while in 2014 they released the action game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and in 2017 they released it's sequel, Middle-earth: Shadow of War. In 2012, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment merged Snowblind Studios into Monolith Productions, which had previously released The Lord of the Rings: War in the North.
