On 26 January 1925, J.R.R. Tolkien wrote a letter to Joseph Wright.[1]
- Subject: Writing on the occasion of Wright's retirement,[1] Tolkien reveals that it was Wright's works that had introduced him to philology as a schoolboy.[2]
- Publication: Brief extracts were published in The Life of Joseph Wright.[2]
