karma
From Tolkien Gateway
Karma is a Quenya word for "helm".[1][2] In the orthography used in The Lord of the Rings, karma would probably be written carma, since Tolkien usually represented the [k]-sound with the letter "c".
It often appears as -car (or -kar) in compounds.[2]
Examples
- Karma-kundo "Helm-guardian"
- Eldacar "Elf-helm"
- Valacar
