Ilion was the father Ingwë, who would later became the King of the Vanyar. He was one of the Minyar, a direct descendant of Imin and Iminyë from eldest son to eldest son, being of the fifth generation.[1] It is unknown if he joined the Great March or remained in Cuiviénen, where he was born.
