Howard Shore (October 18, 1946), is a prize-winning composer. He composed the soundtracks for Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings.

He also appeared in a cameo in Peter Jackson's The Return of the King. He is one of the Rohirrim at the drinking game between Legolas and Gimli.
