First Age 512 (abbreviated to F.A. 512) is the 512th year of the Sun of the First Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- Maedhros learns that the Silmaril is at the Mouths of Sirion, but he does not immediately act - and forswears the Oath - out of guilt for their actions in Doriath.[1][2]
