First Age 507
From Tolkien Gateway
First Age 507 (abbreviated to F.A. 507) is the 507th year of the Sun of the First Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
Early
- Doriath is utterly destroyed following the Second Kinslaying to never rise again.[1][2]
- Keeping the Nauglamír and the Silmaril, Elwing arrives at the Mouths of Sirion amongst a remnant of the people of Doriath.[1][2][note 1]
- Eluréd and Elurín are lost in the woods,[2] but Maedhros repents and seeks unavailingly for the sons of Dior. Nothing certain is known of their fate, but some say that the birds succoured them and led them to Ossiriand.[1]
Notes
- ↑ In the final version of the The Tale of Years from The War of the Jewels, Dior's wife is named Lindis, survives during the Second Kinslaying and escapes to Ossiriand alongside her daughter Elwing and with the Nauglamír, but later she turns her way towards the Havens of Sirion, hearing of the gathering of exiles from Gondolin at that place in F.A. 511.
