First Age 506

First Age 506 (abbreviated to F.A. 506) is the 506th year of the Sun of the First Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
Early
- Celegorm inflames his brethren, and they prepare an assault on Doriath, coming up at unawares in winter.[1][2]
Yule
- The Second Kinslaying occurs, when the Sons of Fëanor attack Doriath on its east marches, seeking for the Silmaril.[1][2]
- Celegorm is slain by Dior. Deaths of Curufin and Caranthir. Both Dior and his wife Nimloth are killed.[1][2][note 1]
- Eluréd and Elurín are abandoned to die in the forest by the cruel servants of Celegorm.[1][2]
Notes
- ↑ In the final version of the The Tale of Years from The War of the Jewels, Dior's wife is named Lindis, survives during the Second Kinslaying and escapes to Ossiriand alongside her daughter Elwing and with the Nauglamír, but later she turns her way towards the Havens of Sirion, hearing of the gathering of exiles from Gondolin in that place.
