Notable events in this year include:
- Gwindor is released from Angband.[1]
- Mîm betrays Túrin who is taken captive by orcs. Beleg pursues the orcs and encounters Gwindor on the road.[2]
- Túrin is rescued by Beleg; Túrin mistakenly kills Beleg and takes his sword, Anglachel.[2]
