First Age 486 (abbreviated to F.A. 486) is the 486th year of the Sun of the First Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- Beleg leaves Túrin to return to Doriath. Beleg is unable to persuade Túrin to come with him, despite telling Túrin that he has been pardoned by Thingol.[1]
- Increasing numbers of orcs enter Brethil; the Gaurwaith are forced southwards down the old South Road.[2]
- The Outlaws encounter the petty-dwarf Mim who offers them his home Amon Rûdh in return for his life. In is known as Bar-en-Danwedh, the House of Ransom.[2]
- Death of Khîm.[2]
