Elboron was the son of Faramir and Eowyn. He became the second Prince of Ithilien and the Steward of Gondor after the death of his father in Fourth Age 82. It is possible that Elboron was the father of Barahir, the grandson of Faramir who wrote The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen.
Etymology
Elboron may mean 'Enduring Star'. From el ('star') and boron ('long-lasting, enduring')
