The Breaking of the Fellowship was an event that occured on February 26, 3019. It involved the death of Boromir at the hands of the Uruk-hai and the splitting of the Fellowship of the Ring. Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took, two hobbits, were taken prisoner by the Uruks. Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee, the other two hobbits, set out on the last and most dangerous part of the Quest of the Ring through the Emyn Muil. And the remaining members, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, set out to try and rescue to two captured hobbits.
