Arthur Rankin Davenport, Jr. (July 19, 1924) was one of the founders of "Videocraft International" in the early 1960's. Together with Jules Bass, he directed and produced The Hobbit (1977 film) and The Return of the King (1980 film). He is currently retired from filmmaking, and spends his days in Bermuda.
