Arciryas (Q, pron. [ˈarkirʲas]) was the younger brother of King Narmacil II. His great-grandson Eärnil would become King of Gondor after King Ondoher and both of his sons perished in battle in T.A. 1944.[1]
Etymology
Arciryas is Quenya. Its meaning is not glossed, but as Paul Strack explains, it seems to mean "Noble Ship" and to be a compound of (a)ra ("noble") and cirya ("ship").[2]
