Arador (S, pron. [ˈarador]; T.A. 2820 - 2930, died aged 110) was the fourteenth Chieftain of the Dúnedain

History

Arador succeeded his father, Argonui, when he died in 2912.

His rule was uneventful except for the fact he was captured and killed by Hill-trolls north of Rivendell. He was followed by his young son, Arathorn II, in 2930.

Etymology

Arador's name is Sindarin and means "Royal Lord" coming form the prefix ara meaning "royal", and dor (a form taur) meaning "lord".
