Andrew Lesnie (1 January, 1956 - 27 April, 2015)[1][2] served as the director of photography for The Lord of the Rings (film series) and for The Hobbit (film series). He won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography in 2002 for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.[3]
